THE family of a man who was murdered in the heart of Trowbridge have paid tribute to their 'loving son'.

The mother of 25-year-old Hilperton man Jordan Taylor, who was fatally stabbed in Trowbridge in the early hours of Sunday morning, released her tribute on behalf of the family along with her favourite photos.

She said: "We would like to say thank you to every one for the loving support we have received in the past few days.

"I have lost the funniest, most loving young man we've ever had privilege to know - my son Jordan.

"He had a heart of gold; he loved and cherished each and every friend he had; his friends were his life and because of his funny personality and charm he had thousands of them. He was also a loving brother to Damian and Poppy.

"He loved and lived life to the full and we are so glad he did as his life was cut so short; he could never settle because of his awful hereditary condition ADHD - he was like a Duracell battery, having the energy to go on and on.

"Jordan, goodbye my best friend and son. We will miss you so much. Rest in peace with the angels, sleep tight and God bless xxxx."

Friends also left floral tributes near the crime scenes earlier today.

Since launching the murder inquiry on Sunday afternoon, up to 100 officers have been working in the Timbrell Street and Prospect Place area where Jordan and his friend were stabbed at about 1.30am on Sunday.

Detectives have been combing the area, searching bins and drains and making door to door enquiries.

Wiltshire Police have also released details of a man they would like to speak to in relation to Jordan's death.

The man is described as white, around 25-30-years-old, at least 6ft tall, of large build (weighing around 17-stone) with a round chubby face and dark goatee beard.

He was also wearing a green kneee-length parka-style jacket and dark blue jeans and may have had an injury to his face.

Anyone with information is urged to call Trowbridge Police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
