A project to encourage public sector organisations to work together better when dealing with families is being piloted in Wiltshire.
The initiative, called Total Place, aims to reduce overlapping between organisations and come up with better ways of working together.
It is being piloted in the wake of this week’s report into the case of two brothers who attacked two boys near Doncaster last year, which identified multiple failings by nine different organisations and said 31 chances to intervene were missed in 14 years.
A report detailing the project will be presented to Wiltshire Council’s cabinet on Tuesday.
The Project will focus on vulnerable families and individuals and in particular those who receive a great deal of attention or support.
Cllr Jane Scott said: “What we need to do is look at how we work better together, and with them, to get them out of the situation they are in.”
The South West Regional Improvement and Efficient Partnership provided £250,000 for the project in Wiltshire and Swindon.
