Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Wadworth Brewery shire horses Max, Prince and Monty will be taken from their Devizes stables to Poulshot to begin their two-week summer break today (Friday).

The horses will arrive at the Raven Inn for their customary pint or two of Wadworth ale at noon before being led down the main road into a field where they are, as usual, expected to show their delight at being set free.

The Raven will be hosting a barbecue, Wadworth beer festival and selling ice creams during the day and in the evening there will be live music by C7 – a fun ’60s and ’70s cover band.

On Saturday afternoon there will be clowns to entertain children plus a kids’ disco and games while during the evening Caribbean food will be served. On Sunday afternoon a swing trio will play between 2-5pm as cream teas are served.
