A group of 30 Clarendon College science students from Years 11, 12 and 13 visited the Natural History Museum, The Science Museum and a series of lectures at the O2 as part of Science Discovered!
The students got front row seats for the lectures, when 700 UK school and college students headed to London for the two-day event. Top of the lectures bill was TV presenter and physicist Prof Brian Cox, with a talk on “big science”, CERN and a sneak preview of his new BBC television series, Wonders of Life.
Simon Watt started off with Dissections Uncut with clips from Channel 4’s Inside Nature’s Giants.
Prof Andrea Sella, a leading chemist, described how the tiger got its stripes, from a chemistry perspective.
