Police are appealing for witnesses after an articulated lorry was forced off the A36 near Bishopstrow yesterday.
Wiltshire Police were called just after 1pm yesterday after a lorry with a white cab and a blue trailer had become stuck in mud between Bishopstrow and Crockerton. The road was closed until 3.15, when a recovery vehicle attended the scene and removed the stranded lorry. The highways agency also attended to clear mud from the road.
It is believed another articulated lorry was involved in the incident which forced the vehicle off the road. Police are appealing for anyone who saw a yellow DAF articulated lorry on the A36 travelling towards Salisbury to get in touch.
Anyone with any information should contact PC Vicky Pegrum of the Trowbridge Response Team on 101.
