Police alert after thefts from homes

Police are warning elderly residents to be extra cautious when locking their homes after receiving reports of two separate purse thefts from the homes of victims in Warminster and Westbury.
The incident in Warmin-ster is reported to have happened between 9.30am and 11am on the morning of Tuesday, December 4 in the vicinity of Plants Green.
The report in Westbury could have happened in the preceding few days in the vicinity of The Avenue.
Inspector Lindsey Winter said: “We can all help in preventing this type of criminality by paying attention to our neighbours, especially those who are older and potentially more vulnerable.”
Anyone in either area who believes they saw something relevant to these incidents should call the police on 101.
