Anti-social behaviour in Westbury
5:30pm Tuesday 8th January 2013 in Latest News
Police received a number of reports from residents and businesses of anti-social behaviour in Westbury over the Christmas holidays.
The area behind the High Street in the public carpark has frequently attracted a group of young people and police will continue to pay close attention to the location.
Inspector Lindsey Winter said: “It is appreciated that young people like to meet up with their friends at a regular meeting place and to socialise especially during the Christmas break from school.
“However, what this looks like and means to other people passing by or living nearby can be quite different. Loud voices, laughing and joking can be perceived to be anti-social by others.
“If you are a parent and know your children have been frequenting this area, your help in making them understand would be appreciated.”
