Diners were surprised to discover they were eating alongside a Bond girl when Hollywood star Jane Seymour visited a pub in Avoncliff on New Year’s Day.
Miss Seymour, an OBE, visited the Cross Guns for a meal and drinks with friends.
Owner Ken Roberts said: “She asked to sit in a quiet area of the pub and was with about seven people, most of whom were American.
“She’s a big star and was so well presented. She spoke to fellow diners and staff and it was lovely to see them enjoying themselves.
“They stayed for around three hours, before going for a walk along the aqueduct.”
The actress, who co-starred with Roger Moore as Solitaire in Live and Let Die, owned St Catherine’s Court, Batheaston, for 23 years, but it was unclear whether she had returned to the area or was just visiting.
