Supporters of reigning champions Manchester City will get a chance to pose with the Premier League Trophy next month.

The Bath and Wilts branch of the Manchester City supporters’ club will have the league champion’s silverware at The Victoria, in Oldfield Park, Bath, on March from 7.30pm.

The group, which has 50 members – many from Trowbridge, Melksham and Bradford on Avon – aims to raise £500 and donate it to the club’s charity, City in The Community, to help jobless and ill people.

Group vice-chairman Colin Earp said: “It was an offer we were happy to take up. It felt like the club actually cared about you.”

The club will auction a signed City shirt, run a raffle and allow visitors to have their pictures taken with the trophy. The event is open to non-members and entry is £5.

The branch meets on the last Thursday of each month, with every other gathering at Melksham Conservative Club in Bank Street.
