Supporters put in comic funds

A second annual Melksham Comic Conven-tion will go ahead this summer, after supporters pledged enough money to fund it for the year.

The convention, on August 31 at Melksham’s Assembly Hall, has been funded by pledges made to an online appeal, with 137 people donating more than £3,500.

Now the event has been established, ticket sales from this year’s show will be used to finance next year’s, meaning the celebration of comic books and pop culture is now on track to become self-sustaining.
