School joy at Ofsted result

Ofsted has praised the imaginative curriculum at St George’s School, Semington, in its latest inspection.

The school, which has 68 pupils, was given a ‘good’ grade by inspectors, who also praised the good progress made by pupils.

Headteacher Laura Hill-iard, said: “We are so pleased that Ofsted has recognised the strengths of this school. We are a small school, but we are able to offer our pupils a wide range of opportunities to develop.”

The report states that “pupils are happy, safe and well motivated, because the teacher celebrates the pupils’ achievements effectively”, and “teachers make lessons interesting and pupils learn quickly”.
