Working draft of Trowbridge campus plans due to be unveiled this spring

FIRST plans for the Trowbridge campus project will be made public in May, when the Shadow Community Operations Board overseeing the development will ask people’s views.

A document outlining the proposal shows the board would like it to have a swimming pool, outdoor sports, a cafe, arts space and IT workshops.

Colin Kay, its chairman, said: “We believe the campus is a key part of regenerating Trowbridge and we are trying our best to link the proposal to other new developments.

“We need the support of the area and the council to make something Trowbridge really deserves.”

The proposal was drafted after a public consultation last year and is expected to go before Wiltshire Council in the autumn.

Neither the board nor council have identified a home for the campus.
