Children's favourite the Gruffalo paid a visit to Trowbridge Library.
He was on a tour of 10 libraries across Wiltshire.
An estimated 350 town people came to see the character from the book by Julia Donaldson, illustrated by Axel Scheffler.
Basil Nankivell, the community librarian, said: “I’m absolutely delighted with how well received the Gruffalo was during the visit and that so many people took the time to come to the event.”
The tour was part activities at county libraries for the Easter holidays.
