Members of Bradford on Avon’s Tuesday Luncheon Club have presented a cheque for £700 to Rosa Woodley, from the charity Hope for Tomorrow at a recent lunch at Cumberwell Park.
The club chooses a different local charity each year. Hope for Tomorrow funds mobile chemotherapy units which give treatment to patients nearer their homes, so reducing travel and waiting times for patients and the strain on busy hospitals.
The charity has also recently received £6,500 from Bradford on Avon Rotary Club after they organised a Golf Day at Curmberwell Park. The club has now raised over £30,000 towards the cost of the £150,000 unit which will be based in Bath and travel to medical centres to serve the west Wiltshire area.
