Three Wiltshire-based charities have been nominated to share part of a £500 cash boost this Christmas, with the amount they receive decided by a public poll.

The money has been donated by Westbury-based company The Hills Group and is being offered in place of the company sending Christmas cards to all its customers.

The three charities are Doorway Project in Chippenham, C.A.L.M. in Swindon and Marlborough and Fairfield Farm College in Westbury, which offers courses for young people with learning difficulties.

Chief executive Mike Hill said: “We undertake charitable giving throughout the year and hope that this donation will enable the deserving causes to continue their excellent work.”

Votes can be cast up until January 2 by going to the Hills Group Facebook page, with the results announced shortly afterwards. The charity which receives the most votes will get £300, while the remaining two will each receive £100.
