Trowbridge post office closed as staff strike
Trowbridge’s town centre post office is closed this afternoon as staff strike over pay.
The action, at the branch in Roundstone Street, has been called by the Communication Workers Union’s (CWU) in a row of pay conditions and branch closures.
A Post Office spokesperson said: “We apologise to customers for the disruption to services as a result of strike action taking place at Trowbridge Crown Post Office this afternoon. We want to end this dispute.
“The CWU’s calls for strike action can only cost our people more money and further inconvenience customers.”
