A Christmas bazaar held at The Farmhouse, in Southwick, helped the pub complete their fundraising campaign to bring a defibrillator to the village.
The event organised by Zoe Grant, who lives in Southwick, allowed visitors to find their ideal Christmas gifts with foods and crafts on sale.
The event raised £550 with the money being split between the farmhouse’s defibrillator campaign and the rest being donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Farmhouse has also recently received a donation of £300 from the Southwick Sports & Social Club towards the campaign.
The pub has held quiz nights and music events throughout the year to reach their target of raising £1,600 to buy the equipment which could potentially save someone’s life.
Landlady Janet Harris said: “We are really pleased that we’ve been able to reach the target and can purchase the debrillator.”
The defibrillator will be based at the pub and should be in place within the next few weeks.
