A 40-year-old man has been released on bail after admitting two assaults and having a knife.
Mark Sprules pleaded guilty to charges of actual bodily harm, common assault and criminal damage when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
And the court heard he had already admitted possessing a bladed article in a public place when his case was before the magistrates.
Sprules had a bread knife close to his home on Back Street, Trowbridge, on Saturday, October 12.
On the same day he assaulted Jonathan Annal, occasioning actual bodily harm, and also assaulted Marie Cunningham by beating.
He also damaged electrical items belonging to Ms Cunningham. A charge of affray relating to the same incident was not proceeded with.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday, January 24 for a pre-sentence report.
He released him on bail on condition he does not have any contact with the two victims and co-operates with the making of the report.
