The Post Office in Lower Westwood will close for three days next month for a refurbishment into a modern branch with extended opening hours.

Opening hours at the proposed new-look branch will be 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday, offering customers a total of 84 hours to access Post Office products and services in the village stores.

This compares with the current 9am-1pm service on Monday and Thursday, and 9am-noon service on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Post Office services will be offered from a till on the retail counter in the modern open plan branch.

The changes are part of major modernisation programme across the Post Office network designed to make it easier for customers to do business, through longer opening hours and modern, open-plan environments.

The Post Office will close on February 4 at noon and will reopen on February 7 at 1pm.

The nearest alternative Post Offices are Winsley Road Post Office in Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge Road Post Office in Bradford on Avon.
