West Wiltshire Rail Users Group donated a cheque to Asda for the charity of its choice at The Shires last week as a thank you for allowing the group to hold committee meetings at the store.
The group, which aims to maintain and enhance the rail services serving west Wiltshire, has been holding its meetings in the management room of the store for the last year.
It raised £50 through £1 donations from its members attending each meeting and presented the cheque to the supermarket last Thursday. The money will go towards Asda’s Tickled Pink campaign for Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign.
Chairman Roger Newman said: “As well as recognising Asda’s hospitality, it’s great we could contribute to a worthy cause.”
