Melksham biker rushed to hospital after serious crash near Box

A motorcyclist from Melksham was rushed to hispital after a crash near Box yesterday aftermnoon.

A blue Ford Transit Van and a black Yamaha motorcycle travelling south towards Batheaston were in collision just before 4pm on the A4 Bath Road at the junction with Shockerwick Lane between Box and Batheaston.

The 25-year-old motorcyclist is believed to have suffered serious spinal and arm injuries and was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or events immediately before it, should contact PC David Williams of the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Wiltshire Police.
