Bradford Lorry Watch group issues appeal

LORRY Watch in Bradford on Avon needs extra volunteers for March as they step up their efforts to catch lorries exceeding the town’s 18 tonne weight limit.

The scheme has a team of over 40 volunteers who have monitored vehicles coming through the town since they set up in October 2011 but more are needed.

Like last year, March sees an intense month of everyday shifts from 8am-4pm to see if lorry numbers are increasing or reducing.

Volunteers can offer one hour or more to help reduce the number of lorries in the town. Good eyesight and recording skills are needed and one hour of training will be given beforehand.

I suggest that lorry watch winds up proceedings.

A few lorries crawling through or becoming stuck in the town will provide useful assistance to pedestrians iwishing to cross roads

What has this pathetic and inaccurate comment got to do with Lorrywatch? Happily, people like you will stay away so that others who appreciate shops that do not belong to national chains, can enjoy what they have on offer. No doubt you do your shopping in Trowbridge.

I notice that the skills needed to join lorry watch boa,do not include the need for common sense so suggest that if there are any retired councillors politicians or policemen and ex trade union reps that wish to carry on disrupting or bringing to a complete stop to the lives of NORMAL people that they get in touch now and see out their twilight years doing what they have always done best screw up everything they have come in contact with.

wood chip, If no common sense is needed then may I suggest your post marks you down as a prime candidate for a position.
