A driver who died in a collision on the A3102 at Mile Elm between Sandy Lane and Calne last Thursday, has been named.

She was Tracey Michelle Rooke, 43, from Worton, near Devizes.

Ms Rooke lived in the village with her 18-year-old daughter and ten-year-old son.

She had a third son, aged 25, who does not live in Wiltshire.

Ms Rooke died after the Ford Fiesta she was driving collided with a 7.5t Iveco goods vehicle at around 9.40am last Thursday morning.

Officers are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision or have any information that they feel may help in the enquiry to get in touch.

In particular, officers wish to speak to the driver of a van who had been travelling north and arrived at the scene after the collision but left prior to the arrival of the emergency services.

Anyone with any information is asked to please contact PC Jeff Rice, of the Serious Collision Investigation Team (SCIT), on 101.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.

At this very sad time for Ms Rooke's Family, our thoughts and Prayers go out to them...

It is truly appalling of the Wiltshire Times to Publish the graphic Photo that they have of the scene of the accident...

Shame on you Wiltshire Times and...remember that LESS reporting is more and vitally important in terms of the affects that YOU have on a Family who is trying to cope with their loss...

RIP Ms Rooke..

I have said this before about the pictures they print at these accidents but they keep on doing it, must be very upsetting for the families and friends of those concerned.
