Dedicated individuals and groups in Trowbridge have received recognition from Trowbridge Town Council for their outstanding commitment to community activities over the past year.
Mayor of Trowbridge David Halik presented civic certificates to groups, organisations, businesses and individuals at the council’s annual town gathering at the Civic Centre on April 29.
Among those recognised was Molly Hopkins, who is a founding member of the Trowbridge Twinning Association, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of the signing of the twinning charter with Leer in Germany.
Tony Buckingham was also presented a certificate for his work with Trowbridge Area Community Link Scheme, which he helped found almost 15 years ago.
Other civic certificates were presented to Rethink Mental Health, Wiltshire MIND, Splitz Support Service, The Sunday Club Committee, Storehouse Foodbank and Trowbridge Carnival Committee.
