Trowbridge charity Alzheimer’s Support was one of four groups granted community area funding by Trowbridge Area Board.

The charity, which recently found a new home for its day club in Mill Street, was awarded the £4,500 it requested for the refurbishment of these premises.

A grant of £1,200 was also approved for Gloucester Road Allotment Association, to use for improving education and therapeutic facilities for gardeners with disabilities.

There were further grants of £500 for the Monday Wednesday Club to buy a portable skittle alley and £757 for Trowbridge Academy of Boxing to buy new equipment for a community boxing club.
