THE Westbury League of Friends have presented a cheque for £574 to the charity Hope for Tomorrow.
Rosa Woodley, head of community fundraising at the charity, said: “The money will help patients receive treatment in a restful environment without the need to travel to hospitals in Bath or Salisbury.”
The following day the friends presented a cheque for £443 to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. The league, which raises money for health causes in the area, holds its AGM on Monday at the United Reform Church Hall, Westbury, from 6.30pm.
