The Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon, Angus Macpherson, has been discharged from the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
Mr Macpherson was discharged yesterday and is continuing his recovery at home in Wiltshire.
The Commissioner was taken ill on May 30 while visiting Dr Andrew Murrison, the MP for South West Wiltshire, in Trowbridge.
Kieran Kilgallen, chief executive of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, said: "I was very pleased to hear from the family today that Angus has been discharged from the RUH.
"We are continuing to receive messages from well-wishers expressing the hope that he will make a speedy recovery.”
