A man who is accused of raping a woman and assaulting her on two occasions is to face trial by judge and jury.
Tuyen Nguyen, 47, pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared before a judge at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
Nguyen, of Murrayfield, Chippenham, is accused of carrying out the alleged offences between February and October last year.
Nguyen, who needed a Vietnamese interpreter, will face trial on one charge of rape and two of actual bodily harm on a date to be fixed in January.
Judge Tim Mousley QC released him on bail until then on condition he does not have contact with the complainant.
