A man who is accused of carrying out a serious assault in Trowbridge town centre has been remanded in custody by a judge.
Dawid Majewski, 25, is charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to the alleged incident.
It is said that Majewski ssaulted Kamil Zlobecki in the early hours of Sunday, July 6.
No charge was formally put to Majewski, of Ashmead, Trowbridge, during a brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court and he did not enter a plea.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday, October 17, and remanded him in custody until then.
It is said an incident took place between 4am and 5am in both Ushers Court and Conigre Square in Trowbridge.
A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the alleged attack but has since been released.
