The new Wiltshire Air Ambulance - which is due in service on January 1, 2015 - has been unveiled.
Sarah Rose Troughton, the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, will officially welcome the Bell 429 helicopter to the county this afternoon when it will be flown in to a media presentation.
She will be joined by long-standing supporters of the air ambulance, volunteers, trustees and representatives of Bell Helicopter and Heli Charter, the new ambulance helicopter operator.
There will be a presentation by a dozen patients, saved by Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
The 24-year partnership between Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Wiltshire Police for the joint air ambulance and surveillance helicopter comes to an end in December.
