This weekend’s Warminster Carnival is on target to be the biggest and best one yet, say organisers.
Sandra Major, chairman of the carnival committee, hopes it will be as successful as previous events.
She said: “A lot of people will turn out for the carnival so long as we get good weather.” If the forecast is anything to go by, then the carnival will see clear skies.
On Saturday, crowds will see more than 70 entries turn out to showcase their floats.
The procession will leave Warminster Conservative Club on Boreham Road at 7pm and will end at The Obelisk on Silver Street.
The roads will be closed from 4pm will reopen at 9pm. East Street, Market Place, High Street and George Street will also be affected.
