Anyone who thinks they may have what it takes to become a special constable, who can commit at least 16 hours a month, is invited to an awareness evening on Wednesday, November 12.
It takes place at Police Headquarters in London Road, Devizes, from 7-9pm.
Special constables are trained volunteers who have the same powers as regular officers.
They get involved in all areas of policing, from neighbourhood priorities and events, conducting raids and warrants to attending road traffic accidents and dealing with violent scenes.
Register interest by emailing name and telephone number to SpecialsCoordinator@wiltshire.pnn.police.uk
