PEOPLE suffering from dementia and looking for support and advice are being encouraged to pick up recommended books about the condition from Warminster Library.

Up to 25 books chosen by health professionals are available from the library as part of Reading Well Books on Prescription for dementia.

The books include help after diagnosis, practical support and personal stories for both people suffering from dementia or who are caring for someone with it.

The books are listed in a leaflet along with further information about dementia, which affects almost 850,000 people in the UK.

Nicola Harris, Warminster library supervisor, said: “We’ve been handing out these leaflets for about a month and they are being really well received.
