CASA in Melksham has been voted as the town’s best looking business in this years’ summer competition run by the Town Team.

After opening its doors in February the Italian restaurant on Bath Road has proved it has the recipe for success, after scoring the highest number of nominations from local residents.

The award was created by Melksham Town Team to recognise businesses that make a special effort in their displays and appearance, which contribute to making Melksham a desirable place to visit.

Around 150 nominations were received, by email and on paper at the Town Hall, with the Samovar Gift Shop in second place and Waitrose in third.

Reasons for Casa’s nominations included comments that it is ‘refreshingly chic’, ‘fresh’ and ‘modern’.

Ilir Bakiji, manager of Casa said: “We are so happy to receive this award of Best Looking Business and would like to say thank you to the people of Melksham for the great support we have received in the three months that we have been here.”

Chair of the Town Team, Terri Welch, added: “It is a delight to have such a friendly, welcoming restaurant in town and the food is brilliant.”

Nominations for the autumn Best Looking Business Award will open in September.
