A COOL day is in store for Swindon and across Wiltshire today, with temperatures reaching around 18C.
Met Office forecasters are also warning of isolated showers across the county as people return to work after the bank holiday weekend.
A forecaster said: "A generally dry day with some decent sunny spells for all and a cool northerly breeze.
"The odd isolated shower is possible."
This evening and overnight would see temperatures fall, he said, with thermometers dropping to around 8C.
"A mainly dry night with clear spells for many, although some isolated showers possibly persisting," he added.
"It will be a chilly night under the clear skies and a northerly breeze."
Tomorrow would be 'mostly dry with variable cloud and sunny spells', the forecaster added, with another warning of isolated showers in some parts.
MEANWHILE, on the roads, the A419 is 'busy but moving', with no other major incidents reported.
