WARMINSTER will be getting into the festive spirit tomorrow (Saturday, November 28) as the town will be holding its Christmas market and lights switch-on.

The market will run from 10am to 4.30pm and will feature 30 stalls selling a wide range of gifts including crafts, jewellery, baby gifts, toys, pottery, woodturning, fresh produce and much more.

There will also be Santa’s grotto and a children’s choir.

Parking will be free in Wiltshire Council car parks all day.

The lights switch-on will run from 5pm to7pm and will feature a lantern parade, live music from Dukebox.

and the Warminster Community Choir, with Bath’s Jamma de Samba leading the parade through the town.

The parade will start at Warminster Library from 5.45pm before marching through the Three Horseshoes Walk and finishing in Market Place.

The lights will be switched on by Emily Clarke, winner of the town’s first Junior Civic Award.

Market Place will be closed off from the junction with Weymouth Street and Station Road from 2-9pm, but traffic can access the High Street via Weymouth Street, and East Street via Station Road.
