A NEW brochure and website promoting Warminster which looks at its history to shops and services in the town was launched last month.

Dignitaries and members of the community visited The Old Fire Station Café for the launch of Heart of Warminster, which was created by Lesley Blain and George Rich – former managers of the Warminster Information Centre.

Heart of Warminster was set up six months ago and aims to provide updates and news on what is happening in the town with the hope that the brochure, which is available to view online, will serve as an additional tool to the community.

“As well as giving local business an opportunity to advertise their services we wanted the brochure to highlight all the interesting aspects visitors can look forward to enjoying in Warminster,” said Ms Blain and Ms Rich.

“The evening proved a nice relaxed opportunity for local business to meet, chat and exchange information and of course for us to start planning 2017’s brochure.”

Colin Taylor of the Warminster History Society, local author Victoria Coombes, author and authority on Warminster’s UFO phenomena Kevin Goodman and local Colin French have all contributed to the brochure.
