A TROWBRIDGE sixth former will be sharing a platform with dozens of speakers celebrating the country being in the European Union on June 2 at St Margaret's Hall.

The Bradford on Avon get together will also include two professors, business leaders, a trade unionist and an environmentalist delivering two minute speeches on what is great about staying in the EU.

Although the 17-year-old is not old enough to vote in the referendum, she is still keen to make a difference.

Compered by Pavel Douglas and with a slot for poet Steve Williams, admission to the evening is free.

The speakers are as follows: Vince Castellano, Castellano's Charcuterie; Oliver Dowding, National Farmers Union; John Dunford, Bradford on Avon Stronger In; Sarah Gibson, LABOX Architecture; Tina Johnson, Environmentalist; Professor Roy Jones, Director, The Research Institute for The Care of Older People(RICE), Bath; Richard Jotcham, Axess Technologies ltd, Trowbridge; Rosie MacGregor, South West TUC; Isabelle Reynolds, A level student; Professor Neil Sammells, Provost, Bath Spa University; Ashley Seath, Bradford on Avon Seniors Forum and Julian Temperley, Somerset Cider Brandy.
