BRADFORD on Avon pupils have done their school proud after being awarded a £1,000 cheque for their exemplary behaviour on a ski trip.
A total of 40 Year 10 pupils from St Laurence School went on the school's annual ski trip, courtesy of the company Interski, in April alongside nearly 10,000 other school and college pupils.
Each year the company recognises and rewards students demonstrating good behaviour, politeness and sporting conduct - and on Tuesday (June 21) Interski representatives handed over the cheque and a full football kit for one of the teams.
The Head teacher, Fergus Stewart said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive this award and whilst it is no surprise that our students were, yet again, a credit to the school and demonstrated exemplary behaviour, we are grateful and immensely honoured that this has been recognised and celebrated by Interski in this way.
“The students should feel justifiably proud with this excellent feedback and testimony from ski instructors, the resort staff and hotel owner.
“It is also testament to the hard work and commitment demonstrated by the staff team responsible for organising and accompanying them on this trip.”
The school has been nominated for the award for seven successive years and was chosen by 27 Interski hoteliers.
