KEEP Wiltshire Frack Free (KWFF), the group fighting fracking in Wiltshire, has held two meetings in July to keep momentum up and discuss plans for future campaigning.
The group met with Wiltshire Council on July 5 to try to persuade it to amend its minerals and waste policy, which concerns fracking, but the council refused.
KWFF member Bill Jarvis said: “I was surprised that the council didn’t see any need to amend the policy as we have done a lot of work to highlight the shortcomings of it.”
On Wednesday, July 27, the group met in Trowbridge and were joined by anti-fracking activist Geza Tarjanyi to discuss plans going forward and how groups across the country can work more cohesively.
The next meeting will be held on August 24 at Newtown Social Club, Trowbridge.
