AN elderly Beanacre woman is appealing for help after thousands of pounds worth of jewellery were stolen from her home.
Between 6-9.50pm on September 13, a house in Westlands Lane was broken into when the woman was out at the time.
Some of the items stolen included a 22ct gold shape wedding ring, an 18ct gold three stone diamond claw set ring and ruby earrings.
A 9ct Accurist watch and matching bracelet set and an 18ct gold diamond line bracelet was also taken.
PC Nige Gilbert said: "This burglary has understandably been extremely upsetting and distressing for the elderly victim.
"I would like to appeal to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious people or vehicles in the area between 6-11pm on September 13. You may have information which could help us with our enquiries."
Anyone with information should call police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously if preferred.
