A Bluetooth earpiece was stolen from a grey Ford C-MAX in Frome Road sometime between 9pm on Thursday, January 5 and 9am on Friday, January 6.

An unlocked Peugeot 206 parked in Westbourne Road was entered but nothing was stolen sometime between 10pm on Wednesday, January 4 and 8am on Thursday, January 5.

Police believe the incidents are linked as they happened around the same time in a small area of the town.

Community policing team inspector James Brain said: “Despite numerous warnings and advice to members of the public, we are continuing to hear reports of valuables being stolen from vehicles.

“It is so important that motorists are vigilant to help prevent becoming a victim. A thief only needs a few seconds to steal your belongings and leaving them on display is an invitation to opportunist thieves who will strike anywhere and at any time."
