A CHEEKY chappy who always wanted to be with his friends is how those closest to Jordan Taylor have described him.

The outgoing Chelsea fan was fatally stabbed in the early hours of Sunday morning, sending shockwaves through his devastated family and friends.

Lucy Hiscock and Ellie Plank, who met Jordan at a party two years ago and instantly became close friends, said he was always the life and soul of the party.

Ellie, 19, said: “I couldn’t believe it when I heard on Sunday morning, I had to call his mum to ask if it was true. Jordan really was one of the funniest people you could ever meet.

“Apart from going out he loved sleeping and managed to fall asleep pretty much anywhere, even at the pub sometimes. He’ll be really happy now as he can finally sleep without people waking him up.

“I went to go and see him yesterday and he still had a cheeky smile on his face.

“His death has definitely brought lots of people together because we’ve met loads of people who knew him at the pub.

“It has made us realise that life is precious and we shouldn’t take it for granted.

“He loved my Sid the pig toy and I’m going to keep it with me to remember him.”

Following his death, the former Clarendon Academy pupil’s family released a touching tribute in which they described him as the ‘funniest, most loving young man’ who ‘cherished each and every friend he had’.

A Facebook group called ‘Justice for Jordan and Neil’ has been set up and joined by over 3,000 people already.

Lucy, also 19, said: “He knew everyone and had so many friends.

“He always wanted to go out and never wanted to go home after being at the pub or in a club.

“He was always bouncing around at the pub making people laugh. We used to go to the Greyhound all the time and everyone has been going up there this week to have a drink for him.”

The 25-year-old loved Eminem and drum & bass music, which he enjoyed listening to at festivals with his friends.

He worked as a surfacer for his dad’s company, A Taylor Surfacing.

His family issued a statement paying tribute to Jordan and thanking people for their support.

His mum said: “I have lost the funniest, most loving young man we’ve ever had privilege to know – my son Jordan.

“He had a heart of gold; he loved and cherished each and every friend he had; his friends were his life and because of his funny personality and charm he had thousands of them. He was also a loving brother to Damian and Poppy.

“He loved and lived life to the full and we are so glad he did as his life was cut so short; he could never settle because of his awful hereditary condition ADHD – he was like a Duracell battery, having the energy to go on and on.

“Jordan, goodbye my best friend and son. We will miss you so much. Rest in peace with the angels, sleep tight and God bless xxxx.”
