A ROADSIDE scheme including a takeaway and convenience store near Westbury has been given the green light.

When complete the scheme will include a small convenience store, a drive-through, three retail and takeaway units and parking at the new 35-acre Hawke Ridge Business Park in Hawkeridge.

Owners of the park, HPH Commercial Property, hope to announce what the takeaway and convenience store will be later this year.

Chris Wordsworth, development director at HPH, said “This new element of Hawke Ridge Business Park was designed in response to local and commercial demand.

“We are very pleased to be incorporating these much-needed facilities into our development.

“The inclusion of a roadside scheme will provide important amenities not just for the new occupiers at Hawke Ridge but the existing local workforce in the area.

“Westbury has an unusually large employment base and we are aiming to support the needs of local businesses.”

HPH has also submitted a third Detailed Planning Application to Wiltshire Council for 20 small business units.

The scheme, to be called Kestrel Court, will include 20 units ranging in size from 1,500 sq.ft. to 5,500 sq.ft.
