THIS year’s increasingly popular Warminster Wobble weekend is set to be the biggest ever as organisers unveil plans to make it even wackier than usual.

Celebrating its ninth outing, the cycling festival will take place on June 17 and 18 in Warminster Town Park, with a fun day on Saturday and a series of more serious rides on Sunday.

This year the weekender will include all the usual features that fans have become used to over its history as well as a ‘Donald Trump Mexican Climbing Wall’, which will see people attempt to climb over a wall wearing traditional Mexican clothing.

Organiser Colin French said: “The Donald Trump climbing wall should be good fun and we’ve also got our usual programme of fun rides on Saturday and rides varying in distance on Sunday for riders wanting something a bit more serious.

“Our turbo challenge will return on Saturday and will challenge people to pedal as fast as they can on stationed bikes, with prizes for the winners – that has always been very popular.

“This will be our ninth Wobble and we think each one has been better than the last as we’ve grown in confidence. We’re hoping for another successful one this year and would love to see a big turnout.”

The activities kick off at 11am on both days and the event is free to attend.
