MORE than 400 visitors toured a special sculpture garden during the Bradford on Avon Arts Festival over the weekend.

Visitors searching for their own little slice of paradise found them in a delightful and captivating ‘Sculpture Garden’ at Lynchetts, 15 Woolley Street.

Around 100 pieces by 26 sculptors were on display, with prices ranging from £1 for a sandcastle to several thousand pounds. So far, 27 of them have been sold.

The exhibition was organised by Jill Fitzpatrick, of the Bradford on Avon Arts Festival, who said: “I am thrilled by the look of the exhibition this year.

“Our opening evening on Saturday went very well and it was very friendly. We had live music from a jazz band called Thin Ice.”

Each year, the exhibition attracts sculptors producing traditional as well as more adventurous work.

This year’s exhibition features artists using a variety of media, including sand, glass and metal pieces. Their pieces were on show and for sale.

Now in its 5th Year, the event is the first to take place in the annual Bradford on Avon Arts Festival, which will follow later in the season.

The second day was combined with Lynchetts taking part in Bradford on Avon’s ‘secret’ gardens tour. The private garden offers visitors glorious views over the rest of the town.
