TROWBRIDGE Chorus are hoping to meet lots of keen new singers when they hold a Singers Workshop on Saturday, September 2, this time in St James' Church so the singers can be accompanied by the organ, as their usual venue, Holy Trinity Church, has not had a working organ for some years.

New musical director Graham Dalby has chosen music which is easy to learn and very beautiful. Two of the items are Schubert's Mass in G and Brahms' How Lovely are Thy Dwellings Fair, which will be performed at the choir's Christmas Concert on December 9, again in St James'.

The concert will have a German/Austrian theme and include glüwein and German Market goodies as interval refreshments, to make it a really festive occasion.

The workshop, which runs from 2-5pm with a performance run-through at 4.30pm is suitable for teenage and adult voices in all ranges, and costs £5, score hire £2.
