A SHETLAND pony was trapped after falling into the River Biss on Saturday morning.
Just before 9.45am, fire crews from Trowbridge and Stratton were called out the the river, near Hilperton, after the pony fell in this morning and could not get out.
The pony was rescued from the slow moving stream by two crew members from Trowbridge in wetsuits.
A rural safety officer was also there along with the Animal Rescue Team, but the latter was not needed.
