WILTSHIRE Council has altered plans for two road closures in Bradford on Avon, meaning no traffic will be able to get through the town on the evening of March 11.

Market Street and Masons Lane will now close from 7pm until midnight on Sunday, March 11 and for seven days from Monday, March 12 from 7am to 6pm. Silver Street will also close on Sunday, March 11 from 7pm to midnight.

Afterwards, Wiltshire Council plans to carry out carriageway reconstruction and associated works.

Traffic will be diverted via B3109 Mount Pleasant, New Road and Springfield to the B3107 Holt Road, Woolley Street and Silver Street.

The closures affect Silver Street from its junction with St Margaret’s Street to its junction with Woolley Street; Woolley Street from its junction with Silver Street to its junction with Holt Road; and Holt Road from its junction with Woolley Street to its junction with Benjamin Street and Springfield roundabout.

Through traffic will be diverted via Trowbridge using the B3107, B3105, B3106 and A363 and vice versa.
