A MOTHER of four has spoken out over her feelings at young children being ‘transitioned’ to another gender and facing a lifetime on drugs.

Kellie-Jay Keen Minshull, 43, of Trowbridge, campaigns against transgender re-assignment, particularly the ‘transitioning’ of young children using puberty blockers.

“As women, it seems we are now not allowed to talk about biological issues for fear of being accused of being transphobic,” she said.

Mrs Keen-Minshull was invited to speak at a War on Women -We Need to Talk about Sex event at The Jam Jar, a live music and community space in Bristol last Thursday (19 April).

“As a feminist and left-wing activist, I would like to see a reasoned discussion on transgender issues but instead I face opponents who are trying to use social media and other methods to silence me.

“I am fighting for free speech and to stop the wholesale unquestioning ideology that transitions children into another gender,” she said.

“These transition activists seem to want to gaslight us all into saying black is white.”

Mrs Keen-Minhsull says her campaign against young children transitioning is also a fight for having the freedom to express her opinions without being intimidated by transgender lobbyists.

She claims they are resorting to social media and the law to stifle debate and to bully women like herself into remaining silent on the issue.

Mrs Keen-Minshull feels the concerns being expressed by some feminists are being shut down by threats, intimidation, harassment and accusations of transphobia.

She added: “I will not kowtow to an ideology that demands I cannot speak the truth.

“I will not be compelled to say a man is a woman, or that sterilising children is okay, that encouraging kids who don’t fit in or who struggle with their identity that a good solution is puberty blockers and cross sex hormones and a lifetime of drugs.”
